The Avanti® Infrared Cooking Thermometer instantly and accurately takes surface temperature readings without messy probes. Designed to eliminate guesswork, this high-tech thermometer uses infrared technology to precisely gauge the temperature of your cooking surface. It is also ideal for measuring cooking oil temperatures when shallow frying and sautéing or to get a quick read on the temperature of simmering milk, soups or sauces. Unlike a traditional thermometer, an infrared one does not need to physically touch the surface of what it’s measuring which eliminates cross-contamination. Easy-to-use, simply point the thermometer at your target and press the trigger - a laser beam pinpoints the surface temperature, which is indicated on an easy-to-read backlit digital display. This professional-grade thermometer measures temperatures from -50°Cto 750°C in increments of 0.1°C.
